The Live Life Whole Project

The Live Life Whole Project is driving positive behavioural change in the next generation of young women and girls. With early education and prevention at the heart of its mission, this initiative is dismantling stigmas surrounding women’s health and empowering young females across the country to prevent ill health and navigate their health and wellbeing challenges confidently. 

These school holidays, the Live Life Whole Project is running a one-day workshop for girls aged 7-11 years with the theme "Energy from the inside out", covering tools to fee confident around eating and fuelling, movement and mindfulness, stress and self care strategies and hands-on smoothie making.

The Tasmanian Department of Health has advised that they have received many reports from schools regarding high numbers of student absences due to illness.

The department has provided the following advice:

If people are unwell they should remain at home. The best way to avoid influenza is through vaccination and it’s not too late.

 

In addition to asking parents to keep students with cold and flu symptoms at home, teachers should encourage students to use cough etiquette and to maintain hand hygiene,
