Sun Protection
A reminder to all students and families about our Sun Protection Guidelines.
From the beginning of September until the end of the year, when daily UV Index levels reach 3 and above, sun protection is recommended by the Cancer Council for all skin types.
Students are strongly encouraged to wear the College bucket hat, wide-brimmed hat or College boater which all protect the face, neck and ears.
From the beginning of Term 4, students from ELC to Year 6 must remain in the shade if they are not wearing a sun-safe hat. Secondary students will be strongly encouraged to remain in the shade if they are not wearing a sun-safe hat.
If you have misplaced your hat or grown out of it since it was last used in April, the Uniform Shop is open during term time on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1.00pm to 5.00pm. Orders can also be placed via the Qkr app and collected from Student Services.
Students are encouraged to bring to school and apply their own sunscreen. The use of broad-spectrum, water-resistant SPF 30 or higher sunscreen is encouraged whenever the UV index is predicted to be above 3.
