We’re proud to celebrate Karlo, who recently represented Victoria in VET Automotive Services at the WorldSkills National Championships in Brisbane – a prestigious competition showcasing the best young trades and skills talent from across Australia.

Being chosen to compete at a national level is a significant achievement, reserved for a select group of young people who demonstrate outstanding skill, dedication, and professionalism. Karlo did an exceptional job representing both our school and state, and we’re thrilled to share that he received:

A Medallion of Excellence in the VET skill of Automotive Services.

His impressive performance also led to an apprenticeship offer from a well-known automotive company, which he’ll begin after completing his Year 12 exams.

"VET has been a game-changer for me. It’s let me chase my passion, pick up real-world industry skills, and make some awesome connections. Winning gold at the State level and then getting to compete in Brisbane at Nationals was definitely one of the biggest highlights of my VCE. None of this would've happened if I hadn’t chosen a VET course. Now I’m super excited to start my apprenticeship and can’t wait to keep building my skills."

Karlo Al-Jarah

This is a major milestone in Karlo’s VET journey, and he should be incredibly proud of his hard work and success. Congratulations, Karlo!
