From the Primary Library Team

Arabic week was a great success in the ICOM library. We hosted an Arabic games club where students worked together to solve a variety of Arabic puzzles and memory games. Lots of team work and big smiles!

Primary New Arrivals

Literacy week saw an influx of new books as the library was taken to the classroom where a variety of picture books, both fiction & non-fiction, were distributed to each homeroom for the week.

From the Secondary Library Team

The library was a hive of activity this term with many new resources added to the collection to spark interest and subsequent learning. One of the highlights was a set of Indigenous Australian books. These resources acknowledge and credit the voice, history and perspective of our First Nations peoples. Many of these texts align with the Victorian Curriculum and provide opportunities for students to reflect upon culture, history and identity.

Secondary New Arrivals

We have a set of IB books that are new to the library to further expand our collection.

These resources provide different ideas and perspectives as new informative voices and welcome new contributions to our library classrooms.

Many new magazines made their way into the library this term as well. Our subscription to The Economist, Money and National Geographic keep many students informed on worldly events, personal finance aspirations and nature education.

It has been wonderful to see students engaging with the new titles and resources.
