Y10: Community Awareness Campaign

Throughout Term 3, Year 10 students were on a special mission as part of LCPC - to raise awareness and support our Ummah when they need it most, through our Community Awareness Campaigns. 

Our students collectively brainstormed important causes that needed our attention and worked towards fundraising for these causes by visiting mosques, speaking to community members, and collecting much-needed donations. But this year, our cause was written for us - as it is written for each and every Muslim, and each and every person who believes in humanity. Palestine. Gaza. Our brothers and sisters.

Throughout this term, our students visited Melbourne Grand Mosque, Virgin Mary Mosque, and the Australian Islamic Centre, and the generosity of the community came in leaps and bounds. Alhamdulillah, over the duration of the term, we raised approximately $30,000 in donations.

We would like to thank all the community members who donated to our cause, the mosques for allowing us to visit them to raise awareness for our campaigns, and our dear students and teachers for their efforts and incredible campaigning, and for reminding us that we can all make a difference.
