Secondary: Parent Information Sessions

During Term ICOM hosted a Parent Information Session for families of Year 10, 11, and 12 students, focusing on the key academic, wellbeing, and pathway support available during the senior years of schooling.

Parents heard from senior school leaders, subject coordinators, and wellbeing staff about the structure of the VCE, VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM), and IB Diploma pathways, as well as assessment requirements, study expectations, and upcoming milestone dates. Practical strategies for supporting students through exam preparation, time management, and maintaining a healthy school - life balance were also discussed.

The session highlighted the importance of open communication between home and school, encouraging parents to work closely with teachers and coordinators to ensure each student receives the guidance they need.

These sessions not only provide valuable information, but also strengthen the partnership between families and the College - ensuring our senior students are supported, confident, and ready to succeed in their final school years and beyond.
