Back to Inspire

Recently, the College proudly welcomed back some of our incredible alumni for the annual ‘Back to Inspire’ secondary event. Designed to connect our current Year 12 students with those who once sat in their very seats, the event offered a rare and valuable perspective on life beyond school.

Our alumni openly shared their personal journeys after graduating from ICOM, reflecting on their experiences during senior studies and beyond. They discussed effective coping strategies for managing the pressures of Year 12, shared academic approaches that helped them succeed, and highlighted the importance of caring for mental wellbeing throughout the process.

To conclude, the alumni rotated between small student groups, engaging in meaningful conversations, answering a variety of questions, and offering honest, practical advice.

The session was warmly received by our Year 12 cohort, who expressed appreciation for the encouragement, relatability, and valuable tips they gained. Hearing from those who once walked the same halls was not only inspiring - it was empowering.
