Year 11 Report

Congratulations to all Year 11 students on completing their first full term in Senior School. Mr. Olden, Ms. Capacete and I have greatly valued our individual mentoring interviews, which are helping us better understand how to support each student. We are committed to ensuring students feel connected, supported, and confident in their learning.

Ms. Capacete has been working with students who have volunteered for the Year 11 Student Committee. This group will act as a link between students and staff, organise social events, and showcase student achievements. Thank you to those contributing their time to strengthen our school community.

It has been a busy end to the term. Many students have completed barista training to support the VM café, open before school and at recess on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Students represented the school proudly at the Presentation Balls, and VM students enjoyed an excursion to the Grand Prix, which has supported their Numeracy studies. As part of Personal Development Skills, VM students also hosted primary students from St. John's for sporting activities. Meanwhile, our VCE Psychology students attended a zoo excursion, and the Outdoor Ed class completed a successful four-day hike to Wilson’s Prom. We commend all VCE students for their efforts during a demanding SAC period.

Progress reports have now been published on Compass, providing clear feedback on Term 1 achievement. Students demonstrating consistently strong performance were recognised at end-of-term assemblies. We encourage all families to attend Parent-Student-Teacher conferences in Week 4 next term. VCE students will also have holiday homework, and we appreciate your support in ensuring this is completed.

Wishing all Year 11 students and their families a safe and restful Easter break. After a busy term, it is well deserved. We look forward to an exciting Term 2, including preparation for the first round of VCE exams. Thank you to families for your continued support.
