Have you ever seen someone in your school yard, who was doing something so nice you’d wish they were recognised? Well, that's what our leaders thought, and they created the student voice awards: if you see someone being respectful, showing connection, or showing growth, you can send a notice to our school leaders to recognise this kid and award them. In Term 2, we are planning to introduce the same award, but for teachers, allowing students to send a notice to the leaders of nice or encouraging things they’ve seen a teacher do.

Term 1 Reflection
The Year 7 Team are incredibly proud of the way students have approached their first term of secondary school, and would like to congratulate these students nominated by their peers.
Across the cohort, we have seen significant growth in confidence, independence, and the ability to build positive relationships, reflecting our school values of Respect, Connection, and Growth.
Students have demonstrated a willingness to challenge themselves in new environments, take risks in their learning, and support one another both inside and outside the classroom. It has been particularly pleasing to see the strong sense of connection being developed across the year level, alongside a consistent commitment to respectful behaviours.
We are excited to continue working with this cohort throughout the year and look forward to further challenging students to extend themselves in their learning and personal development.
We would also like to thank families for their ongoing support and partnership. Your role in reinforcing expectations and supporting students at home has been instrumental in ensuring a successful and positive start to the year.
