Yass Tass! Chess State Finalists!

At the end of last term, Year 8 prodigy Tass Coracas led our Beauy chess team to the state finals finishing outright 1st ahead of a current U14 national champion and about 240 other 7-12 students competing in the regional open championships at Brighton Grammar. He was the only student to win all 7 of his matches on the day.

Congratulations to our team for finishing equal 7th out of about 44 teams from some of the state's top schools. They will compete in the state finals later this year.
