Performing Arts Update

Term 4 is now in full swing with many of our students sitting their AMEB exams in the coming weeks. I would like to congratulate all of the students that sat their AMEB theory exam on Wednesday 13 September, as their results were particularly impressive. 

This week has seen Shelford’s inaugural Junior School Recital, with over 50 students involved in two concerts. I congratulate all the performers on a very enjoyable afternoon. I would also like to thank Ms Anya McLeod for her work accompanying the students. 

Young Voices of Melbourne 

As many of you would know, Young Voices of Melbourne have been rehearsing at Shelford on Monday afternoons. For anyone interested in joining, they will be holding auditions on Saturday 11 and Friday 17 November. There are plenty of important dates coming up in Term 4, please mark these in your diaries: 

• Thursday 2 November Year 7/8 Drama performance (7:00pm) 
• Wednesday 8 November Year 7/8 Extension Music recital (7:00pm) 
• Thursday 16 November Presentation evening ensemble rehearsal day 
• Friday 17 November Presentation evening rehearsal  
• Monday 20 November Presentation evening (7:00pm) 

There will be more information coming out regarding Presentation Evening, so stay tuned for that.
