Principal's News

As my time at Shelford draws to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for their support over the last five and a half years.

In the time that I have been here, I have had the privilege of working with some wonderful educators and school leaders, who have inspired me.  It is gratifying to work with a team who support each student individually and aspire to high standards of excellence.

In my years at Shelford, I have worked with many Board members, who have given their time voluntarily. This work has no doubt been challenging but has also led to greater wisdom, as I move forward in my career.

Schools are, first and foremost, communities and to those alumni, students, staff and families, who have contributed in a positive way to Shelford, our community, I thank you.

Being able to observe student growth and development in a school like Shelford, is a special thing, as we truly know each student. The Shelford students are dedicated to their studies, grateful for their teachers and very down to earth and approachable. Their friendliness and kindness to me, will be a memory that I treasure.

I wish Pauline Cutajar well in her role as Principal; she is an outstanding leader and is supported by the exceptional Karen Whelan, Deputy Principal. They will continue to care for and support the entire Shelford community, into the future.

I look forward to seeing you all at Presentation Evening at the Robert Blackwood Hall in November, when we can celebrate 2023 together.
