HARISH SALWATHURA MAKES THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS IN QUEENSLAND
Harish Salwathura of Year 9 has provided an account below of his participation in the Cricket U15 National Championships held in Mackay last week.
‘I just returned from a successful national tournament in Mackay. I played well throughout the week, and my best inning was against ACT, scoring 138 not out off 144 balls.
I finished in the Top 5 for runs in the tournament, and because of this, I was offered a spot on the All Australian team, which includes the best players from around the country.
When they announced my name and said I would represent McKinnon Secondary College on the All Australian team, I felt very honoured to represent McKinnon Secondary College.
Victoria won the bronze medal match against South Australia, finishing 3rd overall in the tournament and bringing home a shiny medal. I really enjoyed the experience and appreciate all the support the school has given me’.
