Aussie of the Month

Congratulations to our May Aussie of the Month Halle Tavrou!
Aussie of the Month is awarded to a student each month that demonstrates the qualities of fairness, mateship, respect and inclusion.
This student is the kind of student every teacher hopes to have in their class. They work hard, are motivated to improve and, most importantly, show strong kindness and character.
I love the way this student is unapologetically themself. Their infectious humour and joy for life spread to those around her and encourages everyone in their class to also be themselves.
She represents all the school values effortlessly. She always pushes herself to continue to grow and learn, always asking for help to ensure she feels confident in her learning.
This student has so much respect for those around her. She always thinks of others before herself. I admire how, even at such a young age, she considers how other people feel and how she can lift up the people around her.
Lastly, she is someone who oozes resilience, always reflecting on situations that may make her feel unsettled and choosing to look on the bright side.
At GRPS we believe it is important to acknowledge students that are actively contributing to our community in a positive way and are consistently demonstrating our school values of respect, responsibility and a learner.
