Hybrid Webinar: How to Support Career Exploration
Tuesday, September 2 | 4:00–5:00 PM
Online via Zoom or in-person at The Hub, 27 Dalmahoy St, Bairnsdale
This interactive session will support parents and carers in guiding school-aged children and young people through their career exploration journey. A panel of speakers – including a student, parent/carer, educator, and career professional – will share insights into aspirations, pathways, education opportunities, and useful resources.
The event is part of the Ready Set Go program, an initiative of the Australian Government Department of Education. Ready Set Go is brought to you locally through a partnership between Gippsland East LLEN, Federation University and CQUniversity.

Open only to Year 10 students and their parent/guardian, this exclusive event offers insights into Monash's academic programs, information sessions on effective study strategies and techniques, and a parent/guardian seminar to find out how to best support learning and development.
To ensure that families in regional, rural and interstate areas have the best opportunity to attend, Monash is offering priority early access.

The Health Student Experience Days offer high school students a hands-on opportunity to explore health-related courses and experience campus life at Monash. These events are open to Year 11 and 12 students interested in careers in Health.

Year 12 - Tertiary Education Applications
Year 12 students interested in entering into tertiary education are currently completing their Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) applications. Students should keep an eye on the Compass Newsfeed for important updates and information from VTAC.

VTAC - Teacher Education Degrees - Casper Test
For students applying for Teacher Education Degrees, you are required to sit The Casper Test to be eligible to receive course offers from tertiary education providers.
The Casper Test is taken by students to meet the non-academic requirements when applying for teacher education degrees. The test takes 90-110 minutes to complete and is made up of 14 different scenarios. These can be either written or video scenarios. You are assessed on how you tackle ethical and professional situations.
You can only take The Casper Test at specific times, and you can only take the test once per admissions cycle.

VTAC - Nursing & Midwifery - English Language Proficiency
Students applying for Nursing and Midwifery courses via VTAC are required to submit an English Language Proficiency Declaration to be considered for any nursing or midwifery course.
To locate the form, log into your VTAC account - English Language Proficiency for Nursing and Midwifery will be listed under course requirements on your dashboard.
