Digging Deeper: EcoTeam Meets Soil Scientist Dr Khalil
The success of any forest starts beneath the surface.
The Frankston High School's Eco Team had the opportunity to learn from Dr Zeinab Khalil, who shared insights into soil diversity and guided students on how to build healthy, nutrient-rich soil for their food forest project.
This learning experience was made possible through the support of Frankston High School alumna Dr Sarah Meachem, whose generous donation through the Seeds of Change Grant is empowering students to turn their food forest project into a reality.

Exploring Careers in Law
As our VCE Legal Studies students begin thinking about their futures, three alumni returned to share how their law degrees have led them in very different directions.
Marley Angus, Hayley Najim and Lisa Fowler shared their experiences working in dispute and resolution, wills and estates and for the Women's Legal Service Victoria.
Hearing directly from former students made the session especially meaningful, as our alumni spoke openly about their career journeys, the realities of working in the legal profession and the different pathways that led them to where they are today. Students gained a better understanding of the variety of opportunities available within law industry.
By hearing firsthand from professionals in the field, students gained valuable perspectives and greater confidence as they consider their future study and career options.

ABOUT THE ALUMNI PROGRAM
Frankston High School is continuing to grow its alumni program in partnership with Ourschool, a not-for-profit alumni program for state secondary schools and the first of its kind in Australia.
By connecting with the alumni program, past students can provide career guidance and work experience opportunities for current students, establish scholarships and bequests, or volunteer in lots of other ways.
Ourschool is working with Frankston High to help these things happen by growing the school’s alumni community and co-ordinating the involvement of alumni in the school.
