Student Leadership

Junior School Council (JSC)
The Junior School Council recently met to further unpack their roles and responsibilities as student leaders within our school community. Students discussed the importance of student voice and explored ways to strengthen communication across all classrooms to ensure every student has opportunities to share ideas and feedback.
Last week, Diala and Eshaan proudly represented the JSC at School Council, where they presented the process students go through to become JSC representatives. They also shared ideas and feedback gathered from their peers, including:
Bringing back the Buddy Benches
Introducing a 10c recycling initiative
Concerns surrounding the oval space
The possibility of adding volleyball nets for students to use
We are incredibly proud of the confidence, leadership and initiative shown by our student leaders as they continue working to improve our school community.
Mother’s Day Stall
Our annual Mother’s Day Stall was a wonderful success, with students excitedly visiting the stall across the week to purchase special gifts for their loved ones. Thank you to our parent volunteers, staff and Year 6 helpers who supported the smooth running of the event and helped create a positive experience for all students.
Students demonstrated responsibility and respect throughout the week while making thoughtful choices for their families. We hope all of our families enjoyed celebrating Mother’s Day together.
Lunch Clubs and Student Voice
Thanks to student voice and feedback, we have recently revamped our lunch club space to make it more engaging and welcoming for students. Improvements have included upgraded lighting, refreshed spaces and the addition of more outdoor activities for students to enjoy.
Our lunch clubs continue to provide students with opportunities to connect, collaborate and explore their interests in a safe and inclusive environment. Current clubs include:
Puzzles, chess and games
Coding Club
Chill and Create Club
Construction Club
Yoga and Dance Club
It has been fantastic to see students actively participating, building friendships and enjoying the variety of experiences available during lunchtime.
