The Gap State High School opened in the 1960’s with minimal classroom blocks and has been steadily growing into the facility we have today. A facility that supports our student's curriculum pursuits.
While the external building facades are visible to our community, what the facilities provide to our students is not so obvious. In our newsletters we would like to share photos of some of the facilities student's access. This time we will focus on facilities for curriculum subject areas including classrooms in Block JI – our newest classroom block.
This block includes visual art rooms, a dedicated drama space, break out areas and general classrooms.
Q Block has science labs and flexible classrooms.
The Leadership Training Centre is an indoor climbing centre.
N Block is where our music students have practice areas, Block H houses Food and Textile Technologies. T Block has the refurbished Industrial Technology workshops and G Block is the home of our art gallery and additional visual arts spaces.
In the next newsletter we look forward to showcasing areas you may be more familiar with – the Sports Hall, JA Robertson Hall, Auditorium and Library.
Open Day is in Week 1 Term 2 2026, a great opportunity to view the facilities in our school.
