Mr Dave Moran - Head of Department HPE

Cross Country

We are looking forward to the School Cross Country Carnival on Wednesday 22 April, which promises to be a great afternoon of physical activity and school spirit.

Students are encouraged to continue their training over the school holidays in preparation for the event.

For further information, students are encouraged to speak with HPE staff in the Sports Hall staffroom. A map of the course is on the sports hall notice board if you are interested in seeing where we run. It is the same as the 2025 course and is about 3.5km long. All students have the opportunity to run or walk the course for our event next term.

Students interested in trialing for the school cross country team to attend the District event, are encouraged to sign up at the sports hall notice board. This will give them the chance to lead the school out for the event and be at the front of the pack on exit of the school grounds

District & Regional Sporting Nominations

A range of District and Regional sporting opportunities are currently available. Details are posted regularly via DayMap notices. Students should check notices daily.

Nomination Process:

  1. Discuss suitability with HPE staff in the Sports Hall staffroom.

  3. Once nominations close, West District will forward trial documentation. Completed forms must be returned via email to Mr Moran (dmora13@eq.edu.au) or Mr Hottes (thott4@eq.edu.au).
