Thank you alumni guests! 

We feel so lucky as a college, to have such a generous alumni community, so giving of their time supporting our alumni program. Below is a snapshot of all the alumni who’ve come back this year. 

Having such engaged and enthusiastic alumni helps us keep the school community engaged, and inspires the current cohort of students.

Each of our alumni has their own unique story. Some of our alumni are fresh out into study and work, others have a wealth of experience. No career path is linear, but there has been common themes across our alumni stories: persistence, a lifelong love of learning and growing, working collaboratively, and being able to pivot when necessary.

The future is bright and bold for our students, we love highlighting all the amazing opportunities and careers out there waiting, and celebrating all our alumni achievements! 

Be Bold Be Heard

What a session! Northern Bay College’s annual Be Bold Be Heard sessions are always inspirational, but this years was extra special. It was hosted by our female year 10 students, interviewing our four alumni guests, and leading the session.

We welcomed back: Alice Faulkner, (Executive Director, Deakin University), Carolynne Hamilton, (Digital Project and Program Manager, 89 Degrees East), and sisters Roqya Husseini, (Electorate Officer for Ella George MP), and Nazdana Husseini, (Protection Services Officer). 

The alumni panel spanned a variety of industries and experience, and were very forthcoming in the lively panel, on the topics of gender pay gaps, the art of negotiation, and staying true to your values.

A big thanks to our panel for giving up their time, and to our year 10 students for running such a great event!
