As the cooler weather settles in and autumn colours begin to appear, it’s the perfect time to fall into reading. There’s something about this season that invites us to slow down, get comfortable, and immerse ourselves in a good book.


















Many of our students have started revising set texts, exploring wider reading and consolidating notes which plays a vital role in HSC success. Reading strengthens comprehension, builds vocabulary, and supports deeper understanding across all subjects—key skills as students prepare for upcoming assessments and exams. E

Blacktown City Libraries will be running our popular HSC lectures and workshopsfrom
1 – 24 June 2026. Delivered by Head HSC Examination Markers and HSC textbook authors, our lectures and workshops provide students with a vital advantage during their HSC exams.
Tickets are available via Eventbrite and are non-refundable. An accompanying parent or teacher is admitted free. Timings are from 5.30 pm - 7.30 pm

All lectures held at Max Webber Library, Level 1. Corner Alpha Street and Flushcombe Road, Blacktown. Parking is available in the library basement off Alpha Street.
