Year Five

What a massive fortnight and end to Term Three we have had in Year Five!
Wakakirri
To our amazing Year Five Students who took part in the Wakakirri performance, what an incredible achievement by you all to reach the State Finals.
Your peers and teachers are so proud of your efforts and have seen your dedication and commitment to your rehearsals, practice, and performances that you have put in. You deserve every accolade you receive!
Congratulations on your 5 State Awards and your nomination to the National Award.
We are all keeping our fingers crossed for you.
Camp Arrabri Lodge
The best way to end the Term! Year 5 camp week!
Students attended Camp Arrabri Lodge in Warburton in the hills of the Yarra Valley. The picturesque camp provided a wonderful setting for our Students to explore the country life, see farm animals and even a kookaburra in person.
Activities they took part in were-
Archery
Mini Golf
Gaga Pit/Soccer
Games Room
Orienteering
Flying Fox
Giant Swing
Damper baking
Ropes course
Sensory Trail
Climbing Wall
Bush dancing (ask them to teach you the Heel and Toe Polka!)
Night walk
Puffing Billy train
Students have had an absolute ball at camp and are ready for a rest before heading into Term Four.
A big thank you to the staff and parents that attended camp with us. Your kindness, support, and commitment to the Students was evident in every activity and interaction had. Without you, the camp wouldn't be able to run.
Looking ahead to Term Four
Next term, we are fortunate for our Year Fives to have the opportunity to participate in the Beach Program. This swimming program is run by the Williamstown Surf Life Saving Club and is a fantastic program for swimmers of all levels - beginner through to competent- to learn about the beach, the water, and life saving skills.
Please log on to Xuno to pay the $37 and approve your childs attendance at this program.
We will also shortly begin work on our end of Year Christmas Carols events.
Thank you
The staff of Year Five would like to extend their thanks to you all for the support you have provided your children and us over a busy Term Three. Students have thrived this term and we can't wait to see the results and what they can achieve in their last Term of Year Five.
Warm regards,
The Year Five team.
