Parents' Association and PAL organised events

Thank you to everyone who attended our Parents' Association meeting this term. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together as a parent community, hear from our College Executive team and discuss the funding proposal.  The minutes from the meeting are available in SEQTA Documents.

Funding Proposals: Year 7 Playground

We are so excited to share that the Parents' Association will be contributing funds towards a new playground for Year 7 students. The new play area will provide students with a dedicated space for recreation, social interaction, and wellbeing. The proposed equipment will encourage active play, foster friendships, and create an inclusive environment where students can engage positively during recess and lunch. The transition to secondary school is a significant milestone for Year 7 students. Providing engaging outdoor play opportunities supports both their physical and emotional wellbeing while helping them develop positive peer relationships. The purpose-built play equipment will offer students a safe, welcoming space to relax, be active, and connect with others throughout the school day.

As we head into Term 4, we encourage families to share any other ideas they may have for how we can positively contribute to the students’ learning and school experience.

Proposals must be submitted by 5pm on Friday, 23 October, to qualify for consideration at the upcoming Term meeting.

Parent Sundowner - 19 September

St Louis Sports Centre (Space), John XXIII College

As part of our ongoing commitment to fostering a connected and welcoming school community, the John XXIII College Parents’ Association warmly invites all parents to join us for our Parent Sundowner, an informal, adults‑only evening on the College grounds, complete with live entertainment.

This relaxed, picnic‑style gathering is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow parents, catch up with old friends, and celebrate the spirit of our College community.

Format: Picnic‑style

• BYO drinks or use the bar to purchase drinks on the night
• BYO picnic food or pre‑order catering by Ultimo when you purchase your ticket. (Food will not be available for purchase at the event.)
• What to bring: Picnic rug or low chairs

• If doing BYO please no glassware.
