The past few weeks have been another busy and rewarding time in the Middle School, with our Year 9 and 10 students embracing the wide range of learning experiences, events and opportunities available to them both in and beyond the classroom. It has been wonderful to see students demonstrating achievement, respect and connection across our school community.
LoveBites Workshop
Friday 28 August
Our Year 10 students participated in the LoveBites Workshop, an important program focused on respectful relationships, consent, communication, and making positive choices. Students had the opportunity to explore what healthy and respectful relationships look like, consider how their actions can impact others, and develop strategies for building positive relationships with their peers.
We were proud of the mature and respectful way our students engaged with the workshop and the important conversations throughout the day.
Legally Blonde – School Musical
Wednesday 9 September – Friday 11 September
What an incredible few nights for our school community! Our Legally Blonde performances were a fantastic celebration of the talent, commitment and creativity of our students and staff.
A huge congratulations to everyone involved in bringing the production to life. From the performers on stage to the backstage crew, musicians, staff and everyone who supported the production, it was a wonderful achievement and something our school community can be very proud of.
Thank you to everyone who came along to support our students and celebrate their hard work. Your support helped make the performances such a special experience.
Year 10 VET
A huge congratulations to our Year 10 students who have been successful in gaining places in VET programs for 2027.
These opportunities allow students to explore areas of interest, develop practical skills and begin working towards future pathways while completing their secondary education. We are incredibly proud of the students who have taken this next step and look forward to seeing them continue to grow and develop in their chosen areas.
Year 9 Subject Selections and Fast-Tracking
Thank you to all of our Year 9 students who have taken the time to consider their subject selections and future learning pathways for Year 10.
We would also like to congratulate the students who have been successful in gaining a VCE Fast-Track opportunity for Year 10. This is an exciting opportunity that recognises students who are ready to take on the challenge of a VCE subject and begin exploring their senior secondary pathways.
We commend all students who applied for fast-tracking for demonstrating ambition and a willingness to challenge themselves.
Year 9 Market Day
A huge thank you to our Year 9 students who participated in this year’s Market Day! Students were incredibly excited to plan, prepare and run their own market stalls, demonstrating creativity, teamwork and fantastic entrepreneurial skills.
Thank you also to all the families who attended and supported our students on the day. It was wonderful to see so many families getting involved and supporting the Year 9 cohort.
Our students achieved some fantastic results, raising money that will go towards future excursions and supporting charities. Well done to all of our Year 9 students on a very successful Market Day!
Middle School Reminders
As we come to the end of Term 3, we encourage all Year 9 and 10 students to maintain the positive routines that support their learning each day. Students are reminded to:
- Bring their student planner to every class.
- Arrive at school and classes on time and ready to learn.
- Wear the correct school uniform each day and obtain a uniform pass from the Middle School Office when required.
- Come prepared with the stationery and equipment needed for each class.
Continue to demonstrate achievement, respect and connection towards their peers and staff.
We are proud of the way our Year 9 and 10 students continue to engage with the many opportunities available to them. As Term 3 draws to a close, we look forward to finishing the term strongly and preparing for Term 4, which is approaching very soon!
