A Note from the Principal
Mr Ross Jardine
Dear TSHS Community,
Welcome back to Term 3.
Our latest newsletter is now live, and it’s packed with updates that showcase the energy, opportunity and ambition alive in our school.
We’ve hit the ground running with a new term full of exciting learning experiences, from the incredible AWE camp adventures in St George to the hands-on cookie archaeology in Year 7 Humanities. We celebrate new staff, acknowledge important assessment dates and spotlight the impressive sporting efforts of our students, including Athletics Carnival champions and representative sport selections.
This edition also includes:
I’m writing this message while attending AWE Camp in St George, where I’ve been getting my hands dirty (literally) learning to preg-check cattle under expert guidance. It has been a lesson in lifelong learning, the value of stepping outside your comfort zone and the rewards of new experiences, even when they’re a little nerve-wracking. (📸 see photo below)
Reflecting on where we left off in Week 8 of Term 2 with our Athletics Carnival and strong student participation, it’s great to see that same energy continuing into Semester 2. The momentum we build now through effort, behaviour and engagement lays the foundation for success in Term 4 and beyond.
As always, thank you for supporting your students and our school. Please take a few minutes to read this issue, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything.
Warm regards,
Ross Jardine
