KEEN TO SPRING INTO SEASONAL COOKING BUT NOT SURE WHERE TO START?
There’s something about Spring that lends itself to fresh, healthy eating. Foods that are abundant during springtime in Melbourne are refreshing and regenerating.
You can load up on fruits, a rainbow of crunchy vegetables, lean fish and meats, and desserts that burst with flavour and are time friendly - which allows the longer evenings to be enjoyed.
Seasonal fruits including bananas, strawberries, grapefruit, lemons, limes and mandarins are all at their best during the Spring season. Other spring produce at their optimal best includes globe artichoke, asparagus, beans, broad beans, beetroot, broccoli, capsicum, carrots, cauliflower, chillies, cucumber, leeks, parsnips, rhubarb and zucchini.
