Library 

Hello everyone, and welcome to the new school year! It has been such a joy seeing the library come to life this week. It’s wonderful to hear the students in the library with their teachers, reading and borrowing books. Throughout the year, I will share information with you regarding various literacy events, including Scholastic Book Club, Book Week, and National Simultaneous Storytime.

Here is some important information regarding library operations at SFX:

• Borrowing: Students are welcome to borrow fiction and non-fiction books during their scheduled class visits or at any other time coordinated with Miss Melanie.
• Returns: We encourage students to return their current books before borrowing new ones.
• Library Bags: Junior students are encouraged to use a library bag to protect their books. Hint: A simple pillowcase makes a great library bag!
• Overdue Books: Students with overdue books will receive friendly reminders.
• Lost or Damaged Books: If a book is lost or cannot be found, please message Miss Melanie or your child’s classroom teacher. You may either replace the book or pay the replacement cost.

Scholastic Book Club 

Scholastic Book Club orders need to be completed online by families. We are no longer accepting cash orders.
