Banksia House

Dear Banksia students and staff, my name is Muheyra and I’m the Student Representative Council member for Year 11. 

I love being part of the Student Representative Council because it allows me to develop leadership skills and step out of my comfort zone, showing personal growth while helping others. Organising and managing the sign-ups for the Athletics Carnival was an incredible experience. It was inspiring to see so many students come together. Being in the SRC has been incredibly rewarding and I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact on our school community.

Congratulations to all our amazing students for getting second place in the Athletics Carnival! I am thrilled to see such incredible participation and school spirit. It's inspiring to see so many of you not only showing up, but proudly wearing our House colours. Special shoutout to Banksia for their outstanding performance, winning first place in the push-up challenge. Your dedication and enthusiasm made this event a huge success. Let's keep this spirit alive and continue to support each other in all our future events. 

While on the topic of future events, DHS House Chorales are here!!! Clearly we are the superior House, so this is our last chance to dethrone Callistemon. Our song this year is "High Hopes", a perfect anthem that captures the high school spirit and childhood dreams. Invite your friends to join us in singing and help us bring Banksia  to the top where we should be!  Let's make this another unforgettable year!
