Leadership

As we approach the end of another very busy school year, and staffing and classes for next year are finalised, we farewell a number of staff and thank them for all that they have given to TPS over a number of years.

  • Darren Ash, who is relocating and has taken a position at Wodonga Primary School
  • Jess Rule, who will be taking family leave
  • Nemo Cahill – who is relocating and has taken a position at Castlemaine Steiner School
  • Leah Sellers-Fay, who is taking up a position in a remote school in the Northern Territory
  • Caitlin Boyle and Anastasia Parker, who both joined us part-way through the year.

New and returning staff next year were announced in the last edition of the Dhumbadjirri. Anna Ephraim will also be joining us in the Prep Steiner class next year. Anna is familiar with the school having spent some time here last year as a pre-service teacher.

On Friday 19th December, our last day, we will have a special farewell assembly where we will acknowledge departing staff and also farewell our Year 6 students.

Transition and 2026 classes

On Tuesday next week, 9th December, we have a whole school transition activity where students will spend some time with their 2026 class teachers in their 2026 classrooms. This follows several transition sessions over the past couple of weeks where students were placed into random mixes of classes so that teachers could observe and make recommendations about class dynamics.  In placing students into classes, the learning and wellbeing of each individual student is considered and a great deal of time and thought goes into ensuring the classes are as balanced.

Year 6 students will be spending the day at their 2026 secondary schools as part of their transition program.
