Catholic Identity

Creator God, we follow in the footsteps of Jesus, as we walk together on your path of love, hope and faith.
Thank you for the gifts of our school,
our environment, our families and friends.
May our school be a place of learning, care, welcome and celebration.
Mary our Mother, pray for us.
St Mary of the Cross, pray for us.
Amen
At St Mary’s, our Religious Education is deeply connected to our commitment to building a respectful, inclusive, and faith-filled community. A key part of this is the Cultural Covenant of Catholic Education Sandhurst (CESL).
The Cultural Covenant guides how we work and learn together, grounded in our shared Catholic identity. It calls us to build strong relationships based on respect, dignity, trust, and collaboration, recognising that every person is created in the image of God.
It reminds us that our words, actions, and decisions should always reflect care for one another and a commitment to working together for the good of all. By fostering a culture of openness, honesty, and shared responsibility, we create environments where both students and staff can flourish.
At St Mary’s, we live this out each day through our focus on care for self, others, learning, and the environment, ensuring that every member of our community feels valued and supported.
