Year 3C

Students enjoyed their week of swimming lessons, developing their confidence and skills in the water. Throughout the program, they demonstrated our school values by showing persistence, respect and encouragement towards one another. They also learnt important water safety skills, including how to stay safe around water and respond appropriately in different situations. It was wonderful to see students challenging themselves, supporting their peers and becoming safer and more confident in the water.

This term, students have been working hard to develop and complete their own narratives. They have focused on understanding and using narrative structure, including creating engaging beginnings, exciting events and satisfying endings. Students have also been developing their understanding of paragraphing, learning how to organise their ideas clearly and effectively. It has been wonderful to see their creativity and confidence grow as they brought their stories to life!

Students also recently engaged in our Inform and Empower online session focused on being an upstander. Students explored the difference between being a bystander and an upstander and discussed positive ways they can support others, speak up when something isn’t right, and help create a safe and inclusive school community.
