- Students have begun researching Australian animals and are applying their knowledge of information reports by organising facts under subheadings and writing clear, informative paragraphs using topic sentences and supporting details.

- Students worked on using their subtraction strategies to solve subtraction worded problems and continued to build their understanding of the connection between addition and subtraction.

Events and Reminders
Home work - A friendly reminder that students have a reading log and their multiplication charts in their homework books. It is an expectation that they read their fluency passages and practise their timestables at home, bringing their book in to be checked by their teacher on the designated day.
Book Week- On Monday 24th of August, we will be celebrating Book Week with our Book Week Dress Up. We will have our parade in the morning followed by an open morning in our classrooms for families to come, visit and complete a book week activity. We look forward to seeing all the wonderful costumes!
