We are delighted to welcome our students back for the start of our final term!
Our Year 12 students are busy preparing for their final exams while also planning their next steps beyond secondary school. Year 10 and 11 students also have exams approaching, and in the final weeks of term, they will commence Headstart, giving them the opportunity to get a headstart on their learning and prepare for next year.
We also look forward to welcoming our Year 9 students into the Hub as they prepare to transition into Year 10 next year.
Wishing all our students a busy, rewarding and successful final term! We look forward to seeing everyone make the most of the opportunities ahead and finishing the year on a positive note.
Students prepared delicious Cheesy Schnitzels with Pressed Parmesan Potatoes.

Congratulations to Ruby, Year 11, who has signed into a School-Based Apprenticeship/Traineeship (SBAT) with the support of Head Start.
Ruby will be undertaking a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, while working with La Catrina Mexican Cantina in Lakes Entrance, and continuing their school studies part-time. Head Start and Bairnsdale Secondary College wish Ruby all the best as she gets her career off to a “Head Start”!
On Thursday 8th October, our Year 10 students attended the East Gippsland Jobs Expo, where they had the opportunity to meet face-to-face with local employers, industry leaders and business representatives.
The Expo provided a valuable opportunity for students to explore current and future local employment opportunities and discover regional resources, including the Gippsland Jobs Hub.
Congratulations to Lincoln, who was lucky enough to win a prize at the Expo!

Bronze Camp is the club's annual intensive pathway for the Bronze Medallion. It builds surf awareness, rescue skills, first aid, teamwork and the confidence needed to patrol local beaches.
The 2026 camp also includes a Surf Rescue Certificate stream for 13- and 14-year-olds. Bronze candidates stay on camp and are expected to commit to at least one season of patrols.
