Outdoor Education Excursion to Raymond Island

Our Outdoor Education students hit the high seas on Thursday 27th August for an unforgettable, action-packed navigation day on Raymond Island. After an exciting ferry ride over, students braved the terrain armed only with a map, a compass, and their wits to tackle a high-stakes checkpoint challenge. The ultimate goal? Crack the clues, unlock the secret keyword, and win a massive box of chocolates being closely guarded by Mr Keane! Competition was fierce, but two of the girls’ team stormed back with absolute gusto, solving the final puzzle in record time—proving that nothing motivates like the promise of sweet victory. The adventure didn't stop there. Once the course was conquered, Mr Stevens fired up the BBQ to treat the hungry explorers to a gourmet snag-in-bread lunch. To cap off the day, the crew journeyed back "overseas" to the mainland for a high-energy play in the park to burn off the last of their energy before heading home. It was a brilliant day of teamwork, laughs, and full bellies.

Australian History Competition

Earlier this year three Year 9 students attended a History Competition with Mrs Smith. Students had to answer several questions based on the Year 9 History Curriculum and skills.  Henry achieved a credit, Jasper a credit and Sonny received a participation award. 

RediMob Excursion

On the last day of Term 3, students attended the RediMob Exursion at Lake Tyers Trust Oval and Emergency Relief Centre, meeting locals who work in Emergency and Support Services and finding out lived experiences in those industries. Students participated in a range of activities and it was a great day out.

Science

Year 9 Biological Systems students have been dissecting sheep hearts to investigate the structure of the heart.

Metals

Lucy has created a bouquet of roses in metals class.
