Intermediate Cricket

On Wednesday 21st February, our Intermediate Boys Cricket Team was very competitive in the two games they played at the Donnybrook Reserve.

Firstly, thank you to the leadership team of Mika Hermansson (Coach) and Mason Blake (Captain) for their efforts in organising the team, assisting with training and guiding the group on the day of competition. 

This team was extremely dedicated to training prior to the event, and they demonstrated significant growth from their performances in last year’s competition.

Some of the highlights from the day included:

•  Josh Hutcheon’s batting performance prior to being run out (which set the team up for the strong score)
• The combined Semmens’ wicket (bowled by Riley and caught on the boundary by Hayden)  
• The opening bowling combination from the Blake brothers, which was impressive in ‘line and length', getting the team off to a great start.

It was a pleasure to take out this team as their passion for cricket is evident. I know that they have already started to prepare and strategize for next year.

Finally, thanks to Shanaz for her help on the day and her work as team photographer!  She helped capture memories of a very memorable outing.
