Craigieburn Secondary College Business Academy

Craigieburn Secondary College has established a Business Academy in 2024 to support our community’s growing demand for a program which provides pathways and opportunities for students in business and entrepreneurship. To achieve this, we have collaborated with the University of Melbourne and the Wade Institute, two leading providers of entrepreneurship programs.

Key aspects of the Business Academy include meaningful educational experiences relating to 21st century skills which are grounded in research and aligned to the school’s values, as well as strong links and partnerships with local businesses in the Hume region. The program centres around fostering a culture of business acumen, critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world applications. Work placements and work integrated learning are integral to the overall student experience in the Business Academy and students undertake a work placement with an industry mentor every Friday.

We are keen to develop new partnerships and engage members of our local community as mentors for our Business Academy students. Local businesses interested in supporting our Business Academy are encouraged to contact our Business Academy leader, Mr Damien Stingell.
