Terrific Times in Year Two

We have absolutely loved exploring our Robot Buddies inquiry unit! The students had so much fun designing and creating their own robots while learning about different materials and their properties.

Keep the learning going at home by asking your child about the materials they used. What did they look and feel like? Why did they choose them? You can also ask them to explain the design process they went through and any problems they had to solve along the way.

This term, we have completed our Religion unit on Church and Community exploring important figures in our local parish and the wider Church. We learnt about the contributions these people have made to the Church and reflected on what it means to be a member of our parish and school community.

You can continue these conversations at home by asking your child about someone who has made a difference to our Church community and what they have done. You could also ask, “How can you be a kind and helpful member of our school and parish community?”
