Holiday Plans for 2027?

Whether it is a European Summer, a spot of skiing in Japan or a milestone birthday celebration in Bali, please be mindful when making holiday plans during the school term in 2027. 

Our College policy is as follows:

Absences for non-illness are always discouraged. Students learn best when they are at school. Stress is usually exacerbated when students miss multiple lessons and feel they are falling behind. 

From 2027, leave will not be approved during exam blocks for all students across all year groups. As such students absent from exams at this time will achieve a zero result for any exam missed. This is low stakes for students from year 7 through to year 9, however the consequences become more significant in the RoSA years of 10 and 11, and diabolical for ATAR students in terms of their school based ranking in year 12. Hence our desire to make all students aware of the importance of being present for assessments from the beginning of high school is our priority.
