Leader of Year 12 Wellbeing
Mrs Michelle Aurelius
This week marked a momentous and emotional milestone for our Year 12 students as we celebrated their official graduation from high school. Across this memorable week, our graduating cohort displayed exceptional maturity, school spirit, and exemplary conduct that made our entire school community immensely proud.
Yesterday our Year 12’s gathered for their Formal Graduation Assembly which allowed us to formally recognise and celebrate the unique achievements and contributions of every student in the cohort. Surrounded by teachers, peers, and family, the atmosphere was filled with warmth, pride, and nostalgia as memories were shared and achievements celebrated. It was an honour to address my Year 12 cohort for one last time.
Following the Graduation Assembly we celebrated Mass one last time. The Graduation Mass was a deeply moving and reflective occasion, providing a moment for students, staff, and families to give thanks for the journey over the past six years. Year 12 approached the service with heartfelt reverence, participating meaningfully in the liturgy, a beautiful candle ceremony and reflecting on their shared faith and growth.
To cap off their celebrations, the students headed off to Jamberoo Action Park for a well-earned day of fun and relaxation. It was a wonderful opportunity for the cohort to unwind, enjoy each other's company, and create lasting memories before diving into their final exam preparations.
Throughout the entire outing, the behaviour of our Year 12 students was nothing short of exemplary. Their positive attitudes, respect for park staff and teachers, and outstanding conduct reflected the high standards of integrity and character they have developed during their time at our school. Although it was cold it was a great day by all involved and I know the students had a memorable time.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the teachers, pastoral staff, and families who made these events special for Year 12. Most of all, I congratulate Year 12 on reaching this significant milestone with such grace, maturity, and school pride. As they make their final preparations for the upcoming exams, the entire school community will keep them in our thoughts and prayers. We wish them every success in this next chapter!
“So goodbye, Year 12. I will miss you - you will always be special to me as my very first graduating group. I wish you every bit of success that you all deserve”.
Kind Regards
Michelle Aurelius
