Debating success!

Congratulations to our Year 8 debaters Dora, Abhirami, Peggy, Claud, Indi, Hunter, and Noor who won the state final in the Year 8 Evening Program run by the Debating Association of Victoria (DAV). 

They were one of four Uni High teams competing in this year's competition and kept a clean sheet from their first debate at Melbourne Grammar in May to their last debate against Melbourne Girls' Grammar in September. Congratulations to Peggy who won best speaker in the grand final debate.

Our Year 9, 10, 11, 12 debating teams also experienced success in this year's DAV Schools Competition, competing in five debates across the regular season. Our Year 11 debaters - Samriddhi, Lise, and Twinkle - are still at it, heading to the Quarter Finals at the start of next term. This puts them in the top 8 teams in Victoria. Round 5 of the regular seasons was also an end of an era, with our Year 12 debaters (some of whom have been debating since Year 8) facing off against one another in the final power paired round of the A Grade comp.
