Library Update

Term 3 was a festive time for the Library – with our Book Week celebrations happening earlier in the term – the party has continued with ongoing displays and activities to acknowledge other important events in the school calendar such as Science Week, LOTE Week, School Library Day, and the International Days for Cats, Dogs and Trees. Our library displays aim to showcase the eclecticism and wealth of resources available through the library to our school community and celebrate our collective values and diversity.
And speaking of diversity! It has been wonderful to see the variety of books and genres that are being read by our Year 7 cohort as part of the Year 7 Reading Challenge which closes at the end of this term. We look forward to celebrating these reading efforts with a morning tea in Term 4.
This term also marked the last day for our incomparable and indomitable Teacher Librarian Nell Day, who has been our guiding light in the library and a teacher at Uni High for the past 18 years. We thank her for her endless dedication and support of our students and staff, her wealth of knowledge, unshakable passion and significant contribution to the Teacher Librarian profession.
