Leader of Year 8 Wellbeing

Mrs Rachel OÇonnor

As Term 1 draws to a close, we would like to acknowledge the hard work and commitment shown by our students and staff over the past weeks. It has been a busy and productive start to the year, filled with learning, growth, and many achievements to celebrate.

Year 8 have been handed their Elective booklets to look over for their Year 9 choices. This should be a fun and exciting time looking over subjects and bundle choices. It is important that you are part of the conversation and share an interest in their decision making. More information will be communicated by the College next term.

Founder’s Day Reminder

As part of Year 8’s contribution to Founder’s Day, we are asking homerooms to donate lollies for lolly bags and small prizes, such as gift vouchers and chocolate bars, that can be used for prizes for the games Year 8 will be running. These items need to be brought in this week, or at the very latest by the first Tuesday of Week 2. Students will be collating the prizes and putting together the lolly bags for sale during their Pastoral lesson on this day. Thank you to those families who have already donated items—your support is greatly appreciated.

When we return next term, students are expected to be in full winter uniform.

  • Blazers worn to and from school
  • Long‑sleeve shirts for all students
  • Boys: long pants, belt and tie
  • Girls: stockings

The upcoming school holidays provide an important opportunity to slow down, rest, and recharge. We encourage everyone to take this time to relax, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy a well‑earned break so we can all return refreshed and ready for Term 2.

Wishing all Year 8 students and their families a happy and holy Easter and a well‑deserved break.  May it be a safe, restful, and enjoyable holiday period and I look forward to welcoming everyone back next term.
