Leader of Year 7 Wellbeing
Ms Jennifer Allan
It has been an outstanding first term for our Year 7 students as they begin their journey into high school and are warmly welcomed into the Lasallian family. From day one, they have embraced the values and spirit of our community, demonstrating a willingness to learn, connect and contribute.
The transition from primary to high school is never without its challenges, but our Year 7 cohort has adjusted impressively to the fast pace of high school life. They have quickly become familiar with new routines, multiple teachers, and increased expectations, approaching each day with enthusiasm and resilience.

A highlight of the term was the celebration of St Patrick’s Day, where our students made a remarkable contribution to our school community. Their creativity and generosity were on full display through the overwhelming number of incredible green cupcakes brought in for the occasion. It was a fantastic example of their willingness to get involved and support the mission and spirit of the College.
In the classroom, students have been actively engaging in their learning. Many have begun developing and refining their musical talents as part of the Amadeus Program, showing confidence and commitment as they explore new skills. In Mathematics, several students have already achieved entry into the “Hundred Club,” a testament to their dedication and effort in striving for excellence.

Importantly, this term has also marked their first experience with high school assessments. While this can be a significant adjustment, our Year 7 students have approached these challenges with maturity and a positive attitude, building important skills that will support them throughout their schooling journey.
I am incredibly proud of the way our Year 7 cohort has started the year. They have shown respect for themselves, others and the community, and are already making a meaningful contribution to life at the College. We look forward to seeing their continued growth and success in Term 2 and beyond.
