The Easter Triduum and Season

As we enter the sacred Easter Triduum, the pinnacle of the liturgical year please find time over this period to relive Christ's Passion, Death, and Resurrection, the Paschal Mystery that redeems humanity and restores life.

  • This holy time begins with the Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday, commemorating Jesus' institution of the Eucharist, the priesthood, and the new commandment of love, followed by adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
  • On Good Friday, we venerate the Cross in a liturgy of penance, fasting, and the Passion narrative, uniting in the prayer of the faithful for the Church and world.
  • The Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday night bursts forth with the light service, scripture readings and  welcoming new members into the community. This service usually begins outside the church in darkness where a fire is lit, symbolising Christ’s resurrection as the light of the world.
  • Easter Sunday begins the 50-day season of joy, hope and renewal.

Founder’s Day

On Friday, 1 May the College community will come together to celebrate Founder’s Day, a significant moment in our Lasallian calendar. Founder’s Day invites us to pause and honour the vision of St John Baptist de La Salle, whose commitment to faith, service, and the dignity of every young person continues to shape our mission today.

Our celebration will begin with a whole school liturgy, led by students, staff, and our Mission Team. This gathering is an important expression of our identity as a Lasallian community, and we look forward to marking the day with reverence, gratitude, and joy. Some of the Lasallian brothers will join us for this special day.

We extend our sincere thanks to the many families who have already contributed to our Founder’s Day Appeal. Your generosity directly supports initiatives that strengthen our mission and provide opportunities for students and families in need. Your partnership is deeply appreciated.

A reminder that Founder’s Day is a compulsory school day, and we encourage all students to participate with enthusiasm and energy.
