Grade 4 News

Welcome to Week 8!

It has been another busy and positive week in Grade 4.

In English, we have begun our new novel Leo and Ralph. Students are enjoying getting to know the characters and thinking about the themes in the story. Alongside our novel study, we have started focusing on narrative writing. Students are learning how to plan and write engaging stories with clear beginnings, problems and resolutions.

In Mathematics, we have begun our unit on multiplication and division. Students are exploring different strategies to help them understand how these operations work and how they connect to each other.

In Religion, we have been learning about Lent and discussing its meaning and importance during this time in the Church calendar.

During Respectful Relationships, students have been exploring different coping strategies and discussing ways they can manage challenges and support their wellbeing.

We also celebrated lots of reading awards this week, which was fantastic to see! It was wonderful to recognise the effort students are putting into their reading. We also saw many kind acts around the classroom, with students showing care and support for one another.

Keep up the great work, Grade 4!
