Well done to our Year 8 Badminton team. All students were excellent competitors in many hard-fought games. Congratulations to the girls' team, who are NPD champions and will move on to the Southern Metro finals.

Congratulations to our SMR cross-country runners this week! Matt L, Tim R, Deagan, India, and Lola all did a great job finishing midfield (many running PBs), and Cayden again did a fantastic job progressing to the State final, winning the 13-15 Boys Multi-Class!

Meg Bown, McClelland College Alumni National Success

The U20 Australian Women's Lacrosse Team has announced the three incredible young women who will lead Australia into the upcoming 2024 World Lacrosse Women's U20 Championship with 𝗠đ—Č𝗮 đ—•đ—Œđ˜„đ—» being named captain of the team while 𝗱𝗰đ—Č𝗼 𝗟đ—Č𝗼𝘃𝘆 & đ—§đ—żđ—¶đ—»đ—¶đ˜đ˜† 𝗠đ—Čđ—źđ—°đ—”đ—Čđ—ș have been named vice-captains.

 

Captain Meg Bown, who hails from the Malvern Lacrosse Club, established in 1903 in Victoria, is an outstanding young player with a sensational track record both as a player and junior through almost every junior category. Her immense potential is currently on show as the leader of Malvern’s developing State League program. Her talent is such that she is also a member of Australia’s Women’s Box team that will head to Utica in September, just after Hong Kong.

The 2024 Australian U20 Women's team will kick off their campaign against New Zealand on 16 August before taking on Italy, Mexico, and Scotland to round out pool play.
