Japan Tour Preparation

Every Wednesday at lunchtime in room A2, students from McClelland College from years nine to eleven learn about Japan along with its culture and rules to prepare themselves for a trip to Japan.

The event is led, planned, and taught by the wonderful Ms. Suzuki from the Japanese team who talks about all facets of Japanese life from the bathroom rules to the eating, school life to money for instance, to educate us on what we would need to know about Japan to be able to live a quality school life as well as home life with our host families.

Each lesson taught by Ms. Suzuki is interactive with her calling on the students many times to respond to questions, with other teachers Mr. Hickey from the Japanese team as well as Mrs. Andrews from the Senior Team providing occasional insight into whatever topic is being taught but also with their own anecdotal experience having been to Japan before multiple times on the tour. We cannot wait for the day to happen, but we just have to be patient.
