Principal’s News

Dear Parents,
In the midst of this busy end to the term, I bid you all farewell and look forward to rejoining you all at the commencement of Term Four. I am taking an extra week of leave to travel with my family to Port Douglas in Far North Queensland for the wedding of my much loved eldest daughter, Jemima. She is marrying a fine young man named Jacob and we are all very excited about this upcoming celebration.
Katie Vranken - Acting Principal
In my absence, Katie Vranken will be in the role of Acting Principal. This position has been approved by Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools and she will have the support of our Regional Manager and Senior Manager if any issues arise. Katie will also have direct access to me if needed.
Please direct any questions, emails or calls to Katie in my absence, as I would like my focus to be firmly centred around family throughout this very special time. I will be returning to Melbourne on Tuesday 22 September and will be fully available to families if anything is needed for the remainder of the school holidays.
Review
St Joseph's has commenced engagement with Mr Stephen Russell, the Reviewer assigned to our school to support us through this school improvement process. Stephen met with Fr Michel, Myself and the Leadership team on Wednesday to orient him to our school and for us to learn more about the review process. There will be opportunities for staff, students and a group of parents to meet with Stephen throughout two on-site Review days in Term Four. If you are interested in participating in this focus group, please let me know via email.
Tag Parents.......You're IT.
Best wishes to everyone for the Term Three School Holidays. I know you won't all have time off with your children. However, for those of you who do, I hope you get to enjoy a slower pace and have more opportunities for connection. School concludes at 3:00pm on Friday 18 September and resumes at 8:45am on Monday 5 October.
Best wishes for the final week of Term 3.
Nick.
