日本語 Nihongo

Hi everyone, we had another great Japanese Fun Day last Tuesday. Thank you very much for putting so much effort into those creative costumes and supporting Japanese Fun Day again this year.
We started off with Radio Taiso (a 3-minute Japanese exercise) and the costume parade in the Spa centre. Then we made the Kendama cup for the competition again this year. We also had an evolutionary Janken Pon activity and a Rice Cracker game.
Throughout the day, Grade 6 led all the activities and assisted each class, and they were just fantastic in helping me run the day. I couldn't have done this without them. Thank you so much again to the Grade 5/6 leaders and all the teachers.
There were many cute Pikachu and Pokémon characters, sushi and soy sauce, many great Ninja, and Dumpling Chefs, and Anime characters, Japanese tourists, Pokémon trainers, Sailor Moon, Cherry Blossom, and many more!
This is our third year of Japanese Fun Day. Grades 5 and 6 were trained very well for making rice balls and the Kendama Competition. No doubt they led us through most of the activities without any problems. It was a very proud moment for Bawden Sensei.
We had some reflections last Tuesday on next year's planning, and we already have some great ideas we can use for next year's Japanese Fun Day.
That's all for this term. We have one more week to go, and I am sure that we will have a nice last week of Term 3.
Have a wonderful break.
Bawden Sensei
