R U OK? 💛
This week we celebrated R U OK? Day, which gave us a great opportunity to talk about the importance of checking in with the people around us. We discussed how a simple “Are you okay?” can make a big difference and how we can show kindness, listen and support our friends, teachers and families.
Lunchtime picnics!
Father's Day Afternoon!
Thank you all so much for coming along to our Father's Day Celebration. We appreciate you all so very much!
Maths – Time
We have been learning all about time! Students have been practicing reading analogue clocks to the hour, half hour, and quarter hour, as well as learning about the different features of a clock.
We have also been solving duration word problems and working with calendars, using our time skills in lots of different ways.
Literature – Informative Writing
In Literature, we have been working on informative writing. We are learning how to expand our sentences by thinking about the who, what, where, when, why and how.
We have been taking simple sentences and adding more detail to make our writing clearer and more interesting for our readers. It's been great to see students becoming more confident in adding detail to their writing!
